EKA, a subsidiary of Pinnacle Industries that specialises in electric cars and technology, and NuPort Robotics, a Canadian autonomous trucking firm, have announced that their electric bus for EKA Mobility would be the country’s first to use Level 2 autonomy with ADAS features.
This enables NuPort to deploy electric buses equipped with Level 2 progressive autonomy and artificial intelligence (AI) on Indian roadways. EKA Mobility is the first Indian company to introduce ADAS features to the nation with its electric buses thanks to the module that is currently operational.
The identification of complicated traffic situations has been made possible by NuPort with this deployment, and it is now highly accurate at detecting and predicting the speeds of Indian traffic. The patented AI technology developed by NuPort automatically recognises situations like bumper-to-bumper traffic, which is common on most Indian roadways. With the help of this technology, travelling and driving are both safer and more enjoyable.
