LoA for a 255MW hybrid project granted to Tata Power Renewable Energy.

A 255 MW hybrid (wind and solar) power project in Karnataka has been awarded to Tata Power Renewable Energy (TPREL), a Tata Power subsidiary, by Tata Power Delhi Distribution, a joint venture between Tata Power and the government of the NCT of Delhi. The project’s power output will be delivered to Tata Power-DDL, which provides electricity to more than 7 million people in North Delhi.

According to the letter, the present capacity split is 85 MW solar and 170 MW wind power, with a green-shoe option for 85 MW solar and 170 MW wind power in the future. With this achievement, TPREL’s overall renewable energy capacity has increased to 6,048 MW, with 3,884 MW installed (solar: 2,956 MW; wind: 928 MW) and 2,164 MW in various phases of implementation.
